FMode

A FM synthesizer in the spirit of the Yamaha DX7 — with a deeper, richer and bassier sound.

A classic DX and modern FMX engines, various operator waveforms, an analog layer, a filter with clear curves, effects and an integer DSP engine.

VST3 and VST2 for Windows (x64 and x86).

The FM sound of the eighties — without compromise

FMode is built around a six-operator FM engine with algorithms, envelopes and behaviour familiar from the Yamaha DX7. Everything people love about FM — electric pianos, bells, basses, brass and glassy pads — is there right away, and the flexibility of the engine takes you much further.

Around the classic core sit features the original never had: new operator waveforms, Roland-style analog-wave timbre modifiers, an analog layer, a filter with its own ADSR, vibrato, chorus, delay and reverb, a voice count and unison width.

FMode has a dense, warm and bassy character: integer DSP and gentle analog output saturation make FM sound deeper and richer while keeping it transparent.

  • possibility to open .f7a, f7b and f7p banks

Presets and banks

The factory library consists of two FMode banks, Bank A and Bank B. Save your sounds into your own banks (.fmb), and import classic .syx, .f7a, .f7b, .f7p banks to play them right away.
